Lost and found,
Here I am.
I can’t find my way,
I can’t find your plan.
I’m waiting right here
Lost and alone.
I can’t find the road,
I can’t get home.
“Where are You LORD?”
I cry in the night.
It’s debilitating,
It’s my worst plight.
You once were my life,
Nothing could compare.
You made me new,
You made me care.
I had a purpose,
I had a plan.
I would teach,
And You’d be my biggest fan.
But things went south,
I just didn’t see.
I guessed You’d always be here,
Nothing would ever happen to me.
I lost my sight,
I couldn’t see.
I ended up roaming,
And scraping my knees.
So I beg of you,
Jesus draw me near.
My heart is empty,
And I long to hear.
I’m weary and tired,
And You know best.
Make me lay beside you,
I desperately need some rest.
The warmth of Your presence,
Your approval and care,
It’s too much to give up,
Right now I wouldn't dare.
Too much is at stake,
It would mean everything if You’d just call me again.
Lift me up and train my hands to win.
I desperately want You to call me Your friend.
Until You do,
I'll continue to pray.
I’ll listen and watch,
I'll wait for you each day.
I love you Jesus,
I know you love me, too.
I've written this down,
Because from now on - the way I see it, it’s me and You.
