I was thinking this morning of a silly game show that once used to be on TV
where one had to pick the door to get a prize, and you didn't know what it would be.
Two of the doors held nothing so special, but one had the best of the best, and if you were lucky, you chose that right one, and your reward was much better than the rest.
It made me think of how different God works, when Jesus first came to me,
He had heard my cry, even though it was silent, and He told me how wonderful things could be.
There were no doors to choose among, there was only saying 'yes' to Him,
and He would transform my life from sadness to joy, and His peace and love would live within.
I did say 'yes' and the wonders began, Jesus gave me new eyes with which to see, and showed me a whole new way of living, He changed my heart, and He set me free!
But that isn't the end, no it is just the beginning, of all the wondrous things He would do, and in His own timing, He gave me a new love, and into my life He brought you.
Now every day I feel I have the best prize, the day full of hours to spend with you, and joy is mine, along with peace, love and pure bliss, and each day they are deeper and more true.
I thank God so much for taking me out of that game, the world's game where you never do win, and for putting me here where you are my prize and my joy, and the wonder of it will never dim.
I am so glad that I put my trust in Jesus, knowing that He would make all things new, and I thank Him each day for all He has given me, but most of all, for giving me you!
