World's changing as the United States is displaying the effects of an illness that is attacking the whole earth. How is the Christian facing the symptoms acquired by this ravaging disease that has made its self manifest? Everyday something new comes out of the news and glares at you, daring you to do something, doesn't it? How could you miss it?
"In the name of god, Allah, the beneficent, the merciful. All praise is for Allah, our lord, the lord of the worlds, the compassionate, the merciful, master of the day of judgments. Oh, god, Allah, you alone we worship, and you alone we call on for help. Oh, Allah, guide us to the straight path, the path of those whom you have favored, not of those who have earned your wrath or of those who have lost the way. Our lord, have mercy on us from yourself and guide us in our efforts, strivings, and works." Imam Yusuf Kavaci in World Net Daily April 7, 2007 invitation to pray through State Senator Florence Shapiro, R-Texas led the prayer with his feet standing in the Texas State Senate. Did you like it? What will you do with what you have just found out?
World Net Daily reported that "Democrat leaders attending their party's annual winter meeting had Husham Al-Husainy, imam of the Karbalaa Islamic Education Center, a Shiite mosque in Dearborn, Mich., deliver the invocation. According Robert Spencer, director of Jihad Watch and author of "The Truth about Muhammad," the assembled Democrats were led in a prayer asking Allah to convert party members to Islam. What is your reaction? What will you do about it?
World net Daily April 7, 2007 "Bill 2, in the Oregon House of Representatives, if passed, will limit your free speech rights and rights of conscience; require public schools to teach that homosexual/lesbian/bisexual behavior is 'okay' and 'moral'; impact your rights as a business owner; and put judges in authority on certain church matters," according to David Crowe, of the Christian ministry called Restore America protected civil rights groups." Who will be that authority in certain church matters? What are you going to do about it?
Sounds like a new church is coming to town. What will we do?
Is it not amazing by just a few people, you can make something out of nothing? Atheist and Humanist get together, say a few negatives at Christians and all of a sudden we are the flavor of the month. I wonder when these groups will start taking the gloves off, and get laws passed to evict, exterminate, or arrest Christians?
What are the Christians doing in the United States to make a stand? "We are praying." Jesus prayed then He acted, or did He just feel helpless and hide in church? I still believe good can come of bad things happening, I still believe the Lord is moving behind the scenes. I ask questions to ponder reasons but also ask others what they are thinking. You know the answer I get when I ask--what will you do? "We are just praying and waiting on the Lord to come." and, "We are going to be raptured out before all breaks loose!" Uh-oh.
What will your church do if you meet a person threatening your existence, picketing your church, or way of life? What will you do while sitting in your church and a group pushes their way in, disturbing, and/or threatening you and your pastor? What if anti-christians burn your church? How about your home? Hurt your children because they speak about Jesus? The war is on and sooner or later we are going to face mean people. Haven't you met it already? Schools, laws, and news, etc., it is getting vicious, cruel, perverted, and scary in ways, yeah? How are you going to handle it? Have you asked yourself, what would I do or am going to, to prepare?
There will be people, who don't care to hear pretty words, because they are angry and willing to hurt you. Just let you know. It is already happening. Take for instance, people that live around the world we don't know, don't think about, getting their heads chopped off. Many murdered in their homes, dragged out of their houses, killed in front of everyone watching and no one stops it.
Who would have thought the day would come, we in the United States would see this? Not me. But here we are. I dream of the church showing itself steadfast, firm, and bold in these days. What I have seen, is churches changing their positions in my area, people leaving because they want to stand by the Word of God and not what feels good to entertain, "let's not offend," etc. I see the real "christianese" come out and it hurts but I am old enough to not get offended but see it is a symptom of God's call to those who hear Him.
The words, sorry, but "no compromise" is becoming my favorite term.
"By faith we understand the word and work of God-Faith of the ancients was centered in Christ-By faith men subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, and worked miracles." Hebrews Chapter 11:4-40.
He "refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter: Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season; Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt...." Hebrews 11:24-26.
"My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into many afflictions; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing." James 1:2-4.
This is a big challenge, not only to Christians in America, but to the entire body of Christ worldwide. The Church -the light of the world- is still much around, yet darkness and evil are spreading like bush fire. The only defence that the truth needs is 'just spread it'. We cannot fold our arms and pretend to be praying when we are not willing to go all out and spread the truth. It appears we have neglected this aspect so much that darkness is now encrouching us and our territories-which were once considered 'sacred'! Our indifference and apathy are not excusable. WE MUST BE INVOLVED IN THIS "TOTAL WAR AGAINST DARKNESS" if darkness will not take over our world. Remember the only defence that the truth needs is -just spread it-at all costs.
