“Let the heart of those who seek the Lord be glad, Seek the Lord and His strength, Seek His face continually. Remember His wonders which He has done” (Psalm 105:3 NAS).
In these words David is telling us to be continually thinking of the Lord, gaining strength from His love, and remembering how he helped us in the past. When we are facing times of tribulation we need to think about all the times God has helped us when we felt we were at the bottom of the pit. It gives me hope when I look back and remember how the Lord helped me through the times of watching my parents die of cancer. It was only through His strength that I could witness their suffering and have peace in my soul. I prayed that my mother would not have pain, and God answered my prayer. I know my Father in Heaven was there with me in all of my struggles and I thank Him for His wondrous love. It helps me to remember what wonderful things God has done for me in the past. I know for a fact that my God is a big God, and He can help me through anything that comes my way.
God can also help you in whatever challenges come your way today. Ask Him to guide you and give you wisdom and remember all the times He has helped you in the past. He is faithful and will help you if you call upon Him.
We thank you for giving us strength in the past when we felt our strength was failing. Help us today to trust in you to give us the wisdom to do your will. Let us not be discouraged, but let us know that you are with us and will carry our burdens.
In Jesus’ name,
