I awake in the dark,
another day begins anew
special from the very first second,
'cause I'll be sharing it with you.
Today we celebrate Easter
Jesus defeated death, His foe,
and in that gave us victory too,
the greatest gift we'll ever know.
To be able to celebrate this,
with you, my dearest one,
is joy beyond any words at all,
sharing in what Jesus has done.
The joy is total, the wonder complete,
the happiness is brand new;
that on this most special day of all,
I can again say I LOVE YOU!

Celebrating the holidays, especially Christmas and Easter, without my mate is one of the things I least appreciate about being single. I'm sure glad I've got my First Love. Otherwise, I think I'd probably be miserable. But I'm not. And I can only see the addition of a mate in my life as adding to my joy cup that already overflows. This poem was so sweet, Sis. Hope your Easter was extra blessed.
