YOUR FACE
Your face is yours alone and,
Though it may be round or long,
Someone knows and loves your face.
They’re glad when you come home.
Precious, even as it ages,
Through the passing years;
So much that when it comes up missing,
Many will shed tears.
But, God loves more than all the rest,
This face that’s dear to Him.
He knows the cells that make it
Personal ~ and then ...
You may be sure, one day, He’ll
Cup His great hands ‘neath your chin
And tell you (looking in your eyes)
He’s glad you lived for Him.
And friends, you will not count the cost
Of living holy lives.
You WILL not, CAN not, even compare ~
When He looks in your eyes!
