The Lord is My Shepherd
Like a shepherd He tends me
With green portions He feeds me;
Day or night I want no care
His loving arms fend for me
With my Lord I need not fear
Since His sword is there to guard;
Threats of gang of wolves and bears
Are in vain since He is near
I am sure never to stray
For He surely knows the way
Safest paths I’ll always tread
Since He’s ever near to lead
Sure for me the rod is meant!
Till to obey I have learnt;
If I do not choose my way,
I shall never fall a prey
His loving voice gentle though
Puts great strength within my soul;
And His arms are strong enough
To sustain my feeble knees
Heat in the day I shall not dread
His shadow will be my shed;
Cold in the night is not a threat,
His close arms do give me Warmth
The LORD is My Everything!
