There are many colors in the world,
For our eyes to behold;
But none can match the shades from God,
The reds, the greens, the golds.
The green of a fresh, new leaf,
What a beauty it is to see;
But then recall what a gorgeous blue,
The sky above can be!
Imagine light from the sun,
Shining through a red maple leaf;
And the rich color of a soft, new flower,
Is beyond belief!
The pure white snow,
The blackness of coal,
The golden color of grain;
These should turn our thoughts to God,
Such colors we can't explain.
Let's give thanks for the promise of Heaven,
Earth is but a preview of what we'll see,
For since God put all these colors down here,
How beautiful Heaven must be!
