Today marks week three of me being out of work. It has been interesting. I was speaking with a friend yesterday about it. Even though I am not working for someone else per say, I realized that I am always working for the Lord! In the midst of all the gifts God has given me He continues to utilize those I seldom get to take advantage of. I am also a wedding planner and my friend has asked me to plan her wedding. Of course, this will be my wedding gift to her. So even though I fall way short of this worlds expectations of a 9-5 bring home the money kind of job, I am surrounded with opportunities to serve.
I have been very grateful for His provision and watch care for us. As I was sharing some scripture with hubby last night, I realized once again, how very blessed I am. I have a husband who loves the Lord and serves Him in all he does. I have a wonderful home and a loving family and some good friends. The rain that has been almost non–stop nightly for about a week now has left everything green and fresh and my lilac bushes are in full bloom! Our water well is now working fine, and we have food in the cabinet. We have no excess of anything, but we have all our needs, all of our daily needs.
“Give us this day, our daily bread.” (Matthew 6:11)
Well Lord, You definitely have done that! Everyday is a journey of faith in knowing that You are in control and right now, my heart just wants to say….thanks.

AMEN! I know what it's like... having to live by faith for the finances. But I have to say thanks too. Our tummies are full and my plants are sprouting like crazy with all the rain. Praise God! He is GOOD!
