Have you contemplated which of us is worthy?
Have you noted Kings and Emperors we’ve raised?
Have you ever studied mighty men of valor ?
All the greats this world so plainly praised?
But...there are those who only sit in squalor
Unable to receive a fair mans’s share ~
Never schooled to his ultimate potential ~
Too hungry in his body even to care.
But, when I look, I see the eyes of Jesus,
And, sad to say, plenteous in the poor.
In the eyes revealed I see the passion ~
I know that these are they that He came for.
He said, the healthy have no need of doctors;
But for the hopeless, ill, He came to earth;
For one illness, He’s the only Doctor ~
The illness that when healed gives second birth.
I look into the eyes of wealth, of needy,
The lives of both are filled with sin and strife
I know the answer to it all is Jesus,
Who died so sinners, rich or poor, can have eternal life
