Affirmation Creed

Married couples [particularly Christians] will due to circumstances forget the goodness of the Lord in their lives. They become distraught and distressed for a varied number of reasons. God’s word is the assurance that, no matter how bad things may seem HE is ever present. Isaiah 43:1-5 assures us that we are always in HIS presence.

When trials and disappointments come your way pray together the “AFFIRMATION CREED”.

Never forget whose you are when you feel like you have lost your self-esteem, speak to your hearts and say “WE ARE children of GOD, heirs of God and joint heirs with Jesus Christ” [Romans 8:16-17]

When your burdens seem to be heavier than usual, speak to your hearts and say “WE ARE casting all our cares on Jesus” [1st Peter 5:7]

When your debts are piling up and your finances are low, speak to your hearts and say, “WE WILL have all our needs met by Jesus” [Philippians 4:19]

When sickness threatens to overtake you, speak to your hearts and say, “WE ARE healed by HIS stripes” [1st Peter 2:24]

And when your enemies seem to triumph over you, speak to your hearts and say, “WE ARE more than conquerors [Romans 8:37]

Know that in God’s word he provides you with comfort and security for your journey so always speak to your hearts and say:

WE ARE strong in the Lord and in the power of HIS might [Ephesians 6:10];

WE ARE blessed coming in and blessed going out [Deuteronomy 28:6];

WE ARE delivered from the powers of darkness [Colossians 1:13] and WE WILL bless the Lord at all times [Psalm 34:1]

I encourage you to use this or create your own affirmation and share it with other couples.
