God, I thank you for so many things
Each blessing that Your love brings
From the sun shining bright in the sky
To the times you hold me when I cry
Father, I thank you for the breath of life
For my friends, family, children and wife
Everyday I see Your majesty in so many ways
I count my blessings each and every day
Jesus, I thank you for freeing me from sin
And allowing this new creation to begin
My daily path is illuminated by Your light
I pray that You shine in me just as bright
Holy Spirit, I thank Your perfect guidance
Steering me past and through each circumstance
You speak softly, convictions to my heart
And help me avoid temptations before I start
Blessed Trinity, I thank You for each part
For cleansing and restoring this broken heart
You have healed a torn and rent, sinful soul
Washed by the Blood I am healed and made whole
Lord, I thank you for everything and all
For allowing my heart to hear Your call
I cannot list all that you have done for me
But I thank You for allowing my heart to see.
Lord, I thank you for the gifts You give
For You, my writing and my life I live
I thank You for making my life brighter
And I thank you for each Faithwriter.
Greetings in the Name of the Lord, peace and blessings to you.
As my time winds down at this location, I have no more work or responsibilities, so I am taking the opportunity to catch up on reading some of the precious works here at Faithwriters.
I wanted to thank the Lord for so many blessings. While counting blessings I realized that it is exactly what each of you have been to me over the last few years. I have read many powerful articles that left me at a loss for words to write comments. I have read many that made me weep. There is a great anointing on the writers here at Faithwriters, in both works and comments. Too many times a comment on one of my articles helped me over that “Why am I doing this?” hump. I pray that I keep getting time to read and comment on other writer’s works.
I just want to thank the hosts of Faithwriters (I promise I will upgrade to a 500 member soon) and to everyone who bares their hearts and souls through writing. It is not an easy thing to do and it is greatly appreciated. I wish I could list the articles that have ministered to me and help me minister to others. So I thank God for each and every one of you here. Keep serving the Lord with the passion I see here and the Lord will give many crowns.
Christian - THANK YOU! Your Christ-like heart comes through on this very well. God has given you a great talent and you use it well and have gratitude to Him for it. He will surely bless you with a crown of jewels in heaven. I love the poem and the words of encouragement are so needed - like Helen said. May God bless you and your family in everything you do. Never stop writing for His glory. And thank you for your kind comments on my submissions. I love seeing those little yellow boxes:) In Christ's Love,
"THANK YOU FOR YOUR PERFECT GUIDANCE" how beautiful is this, I love to thank the Lord, at all times, in all ways...just because I'm breathing I have to thank Him, I have to Praise Him. This is lovely, as are so many of your writings, keep on encouraging us....God keep you and guide you -always.
Oh Christian, I do hope you will keep writing. Your accolades on the writers here at FaithWriters was so very uplifting. And you will never know how much encouragement you may have been to some of the timid writers who think that their work is unworthy of being put in print. Well, it isn't! God gives the inspiration, but it takes perseverance and "perspiration" to write. Writing is hard work. It is not just putting words on paper. It takes prayer and devotion to make them a blessing. Yours have been.
Christian, this is a wonderful "giving thanks" poem. It speaks right to my heart, and I am sure it speaks to the heart of God. I know you are enjoying the time you find on your hands to catch up on some reading. I pray your next assignment will allow you time to continue blessing us with your contributions of encouragement and inspirations. None of us know how much longer God will allow us to live on planet earth, so we need to be making the best of each day. I love you with Christian love, my brother-in-Christ. Keep on letting your light shine for His glory. Thomas
I agree... I have met some of the most God-fearing, God-loving, kind, sincere, talented people on this web site. I thank God for them too... as I thank Him for the many, many, COUNTLESS many blessings He has poured out in my life. Yes, they do get hard to see sometimes through all the muck. But when we stop to look, to listen, and to appreciate what He's done for us, (not the least of which is to grant us eternal life!!!) how can we do anything but give Him thanks?!? Wonderful writing as usual, Brother. In His love, Treava
