WISDOM

I felt like the weight of the world was laying on my chest
I didn’t even know why
Have you ever been there and done that?
In my life there was no lack

I have a roof over my head
Plenty food to eat
Beautiful children, gorgeous grandchildren
My life is rocking and reeling with love
But what is this burden?
Lord help me
I need to be blessed by that wonderful Dove

I escaped upstairs and laid down on my bed
Oh Lord, did I ever need to cry
I shut my eyes and started to pray
Father help me please
My world is caving in
Right now I cannot feel you
I feel no joy within

The two o’ clock hour had just struck
I had never been to sleep
I was not here anymore
I thought “where am I”
What kind of state is this?
I was not asleep and I was not awake
A little trip in time
I just had to take

A mansion stood there on a hill
It was filled with children fair
One of them took my hand
And we became a pair

He was a little boy 10 years of age
I felt like I was reading a book
as he was turning the page
His hair was ebony black,
His eyes were a pure dark brown
He put his hand in mine
And he looked into my eyes
Wisdom of Solomon
Took me by surprise

We traveled down a big long hall
I felt like we were playing a game
It seemed like hide-n-seek
But this destiny I had to keep

Hall-way after hall-way
Door after door, all of them closed
Which door did I choose?
This place was just too neat
While I was searching for the right door
The children played around my feet

I must choose the perfect prize door
They were all the same size, the same shape and the same color
We just kept on playing, we skipped, jumped and sang
As we traveled all those halls
There were children, children and more children
All in one big gang
I have never had so much fun
Which door, now let me see
It lasted forever; the children took total care of me

Wonderful love is all I can say
I hope this never ends, I hope I can stay
Peace, peace and more peace
“It was joy unspeakable and full of glory”
I was wrapped in total peace
Hanging between two worlds
With perfect ease

I chose A door, I opened it wide
It led straight back to my bedroom
Someone lingered in the shadows
Just beyond the door
Peace walked my floors
From ceiling, wall to doors

From the hall-way came these words
“Grandma Mary, look at your wall”
Pictures of the children,
I looked at the wall
The children?
13 of them in all.

You must teach the children
Wisdom of the word
How God sent Jesus
Down to this mortal earth

A little child shall lead them
And who will teach the children?
It’s up to one, it’s up to all
Have you read the word?
Let’s listen to his call.
