One of the false witnessed stood up and said " I heard him say I am able to destroy the temple of God and to build it in three days". This Caiaphas had been waiting to hear.
The last false witness stood up and said " I also heard him say I will destroy this temple made with hands and in three days I will build another made without hands".
Caiaphas looked at Jesus and saw that his head was still lowered and he was still silent. " Do you not answer?" he said as he looked at this so called King " what is this these men testify against you".
Jesus lifted his head and looked into the eyes of Caiaphas but did not say a word.
Frustrated, Caiaphas yelled at Jesus " under oath, tell us if you are the Christ the Son of God".
" I am" Jesus replied as he looked now at his accusers " It is as you said and you will see the Son of God sitting at the right hand of God and coming in the clouds of heaven".
