Mommy where is Jesus? Is He real?
He is right here with you all the time.
How do I know?
Well, lets see. Stand up here. Stand in the sunlight.
Okay, Mommy.
Now, where is your shadow?
Right beside me.
That’s right. Just like your shadow, Jesus is right beside you.
What do you mean Mommy?
Jesus is you friend and He is beside you when you need someone to walk beside you.
Oh, He’s my friend.
Now, turn and face the sun. Where is that shadow?
I don’t see it mommy.
That’s because, it is behind you. Look over your shoulder.Sometimes, like your shadow Jesus is right behind you. Ready to catch you if you fall.
Oh, He’s my safety net.
That’s right. Now turn completely around. See that big shadow in front of you.
Yes, Mommy. I see my shadow now.
Jesus goes before us. He guides the way and keeps us safe if we follow Him.
Oh, He’s my guide.
Is your shadow real?
Yes, Mommy.
Now let’s you and me go inside. Where is your shadow? Turn all around.
I don’t see it any where, Mommy?
But it is still real, right?
Yes, Mommy.
Do you see Jesus?
No, Mommy.
But He is right here with us. Just like your shadow, He is real.Even if you can’t see Him, beside you, in front of you or behind you – He is with you.
He is real, Mommy. Just like my shadow!
