You never had much in material things
Always poor, never living like kings.
But you were rich in spirit, of that I’m sure
And you taught me in life to always be pure.
You did the best for us that you knew how
When I look back in time, I see that clearly now.
Money or possessions cannot a character build
But a legacy of two lives who were Spirit-filled.
Thank you, Mama and Daddy ~ for all you did
I believe I had more riches than any other kid.
What you gave means more than the world to me
You gave me Jesus……for all of eternity!

Yes, there are many of us who can thank the Lord for the wonderful heritage He gave us by allowing us to be born of the parents we had. Your poem has brought out the fact that you are grateful for your parents. I hope a lot of young people read this. It is a shame that so many children have to wait until they are grown up before they realize what great parents they have. Thanks for sharing.
