The only way to become wise
is questioning the whats and whys;
and he who asks enough of these
will find his brain is hard to tease.
But wisdom's more than lessons learned,
it's using them to help discern
the prudent from the ill advised
direction to find brighter skies.
And wisdom cannot wear a mask
for it's uncovered by the task
of choosing how your life will rhyme;
will it be slanted or sublime?
So grasp this pebble from my hand,
and quickly— if you think you can;
and if you do, be true and wise—
for by your choice life lives or dies.
