I looked up from my stitching;
Stitching fabrics together;
“Together we are called;
Called to see Moses.”

“Moses paged us?” I asked;
“Asked for us in person.” Said my friend;”
A friend of many years.
Many years, since birth in fact.

Fact is, we were called in to see Moses;
Moses, the leader of Israel;
Israel’s leader, who said, “You are to do the stitching for the tabernacle;
The tabernacle of the Lord.”

“The Lord’s spirit came over me last night” I said;
Said my friend as he looked at me agape, “Yes, me as well.”
“Well,” said Moses, “Then back to your work! Work with fine linens and cloth!
Cloth that will be beautiful to the Lord.

The Lord was with me when we helped with the tabernacle;
Tabernacle of the Lord;
Lord, keep my fingers flying to do your work;
Work that will glorify you.

You who are Yahweh,
Yahweh, LORD, who existed from the beginning;
Beginning new ideas in me;
Me, your worker willing; I am awed.
