He Loved Us First
He loved us first. He did not
Wait for some irrevocable
Proof that we could love.
He loved us first!
Sometimes, when I am
Down, feeling unworthy,
I remember that
He loved us first!
What worth did He put on a soul?
On a hundred? On just one?
Would He have done it for
Only one? Only me?
How can I stay down
When I answer that?
God counted me priceless
And that’s what Jesus is!
