Oh, how I love the sound
Of Holy pages turning
Those who seek to know You
And to keep the fire burning
Oh, how I love the sound
Of godly women in the Word
Deepening their spiritual walk
With the Savior and their Lord
Oh, how I love the sound
Of silence as You speak
Give us wisdom and understanding
As we continually seek
Oh, how I love the sound
Of Truth being shed today
May we leave this Holy place
Filled with the Spirit in every way

Written during quiet time at a ladies' retreat...I couldn't help but hear the sound of 30 women turning pages of their Bibles in study and prayer. It was a beautiful sound to behold!

There are some in this world that think that women should keep silent. But what it they did? Oh, what if they did? The Gospel of Jesus Christ would not have been spread as much as it is being spread if it weren't for the women who have sacrificed their life for the spreading of God's Word. Your poem brings out the wonderful knowledge that WOMEN are a very important part in God's plan. I am glad that so many women have dedicated their life to the Lord's work.
