Morning Dew
Glenn Cook
A sunlit morning with glistening dew
The warmth from the memories from the night before
Skin glowing in radiance and beauty
Still the faint aroma of you’re presence
Hope pushing you through the day gives vigor anew
Waiting for that moment, pacing the floor
Affections stripped from protection, completely nude
Emotionally caught up in its grasping essence
Dusk falls bringing the nights enticing coo
All the nerves sensing what’s coming like waves crashing ashore
Knowing your actions are an honor, not a duty
The humid night air steels the last innocence
You bring out the best in each new day

Very nice images indeed, and very well worded. I'm no poetry expert, but I enjoyed this, as well as others you have written. Just one small thing grammatically..Still the faint aroma of you’re presence..you're in this instance should be "your". Other than that, a definite thumbs up. Blessings~Mary
