Bible Study One: The Character of Jesus as it is Portrayed According to the Gospel of Luke.
Bible verses that portray Jesus as gentle in character.(NKJV)
Step One:Read the Bible verses as a group. Go around the room, taking turns reading each verse. Stop after each verse, and take turns expressing how this verse ministers to your spirit.
Step Two: The leader looks up the word gentle in the Youngs concordance. The leader lists all the words listed under the word gentle. The leader focuses on the word useful.
Step Three: A connection is made. If gentle means useful in the bible, and gentle also describes Jesus, than becoming more like Jesus will make us more useful in the body of Christ, and pointing unsaved souls to Christ.
Step Four: Group breaks up in two's and talks about ways they can be more gentle to their neighbor.
Step Five: Group comes together. Each pair puts on a skit, based on the ideas they came up with.
Step Six: A testimony or two is shared about how Jesus manifested Himself to them in a personal way this week, that revealed his character of gentleness as described in the gospel of Luke.
Step Seven: Group closes in prayer, seeking God to help them see people the way Christ sees them, so they can love them the way Christ would.
Step Eight: Homework is given by the leader, to dig into the word, to find the golden nuggets, hidden treasures, of Jesus's character in the book of Mark to be discussed the following week or month, when the group meets again.
