I could live without Jesus,
But only here, on earth,
Jesus is the only way
To life through second birth.
I could live without Jesus
With a heart that’s broken, torn,
I would often feel rejected,
Alone and forlorn.
I could live without Jesus,
It is my will, you know,
My heart might keep on beating
For another day or so.
I could live without Jesus
In the night and in the storm,
But why on earth would I do it?
When His hand in mine’s so warm.
I don’t want to live without Him,
He’s the reason that I live;
I’ve never found another with
Eternal life to give!
