Lo! I will tell you a mystery.
We shall not all sleep,
but we shall all be changed,
In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye,
at the last trumpet.
[1 Corinthians 15:51-52]

"Jesus, can I talk to you?"
"Yes, child."
"I know that I don't talk to you, very much.
I'm still confused."
"I know that."
"I've been called a completed Jew, whatever that means."
"I understand, child."
"I usually talk to the Father, but well, right now He is being
distant from me."
"Ah. And, you? Are you being distant from Him?"
"Well, I guess. Maybe, a little. Well, I mean, Jesus,
I prayed to the Father, and He didn't answer me.
Now, all day, I've been very disappointed in Him.
"Have you accepted Me as your Lord and Savior?"
"Yes, Lord! I mean, Jesus. I love you, Jesus!"
"Then, why are you disappointed?"
"Well, it has to do with my job and all......."
"Things of this world."
"Well, yes Lord. But, important things, nonetheless."
"What is the most important thing, child?"
"That I love You and accept You, Jesus, as my Savior."
"Why aren't you rejoicing, child?"
"Well, sometimes I do."
"With every breath that you take."
"You mean, all the time?"
"All the time, above all other time."
"But, what about my disappointments......."
"The things of the world?"
"Well, Yes, Lord. But......."
"I am the Light of the World, child."
"And, therefore, in spite of these
disappointments, I should ..........."
"Praise Your Lord!"
"I do, Jesus! I do....over the weekend!"
"On one day, or another, child?"
"Hm.....I see. So, I need to be praising my
Lord every day? But, what about when I'm
in a upset mood?"
"Those times, particularly, child."
"Jesus, are You saying that I should cling to
the Father in my times of failure, shame, and
fear?"
"Most of all. Worship and praise, child."
"Well, I guess I'll have to work on that. Maybe..."
"Maybe?"
"Okay. Definitely. I will go and worship Him, right now.
And, Jesus, could I ask You a question? It has to do with
this Rapture that Christians keep telling me about."
"Yes, child?"
"Could I get one of those trumpets to play? I'd really like that!
Could I? Please, Jesus? I mean, I could stand in the back row,
so that nobody would hear me."
"When the trumpets blow, child, the whole world will hear."
"Well, yeah. But, maybe if I could stand in the back row,
my shofar wouldn't sound so bad, You know?"
"Go to sleep, child."
"Good night, Jesus."
