Oh, how time does fly.
Days turn to months,
And months into years,
Where time goes I do not know.
It causes me to think,
Of words that are spoken,
And deeds that are done.
They leave their mark,
Whether good or bad.
So as the New Year approaches,
The slate is all clean.
There are no marks,
No blemishes to be seen.
I ask how your moments will be spent.
Maybe lending a hand,
Or sharing a smile,
Possibly going the extra mile.
Only you can choose.
For this year will soon be history,
The sands of time flow quickly past.
Leaving us only memories that will last.
Where time goes is truly a mystery.
