(Judge #1, Judge #2 and Judge #3 enter and seat themselves in chairs. They wait expectantly. Announcer enters from left. He walks to the middle of the stage. He holds a microphone in his hand. The sound of cheers and clapping is heard. Announcer speaks into his microphone.)

Announcer: Welcome ladies and gentlemen. Today, as you well know is our final competition to see who is the one, the only new World Class Champion. The anticipation is growing, who will be our next winner?

We will begin our competition with our first competitor. As we wait for her to begin, let us recap her life. She was vborn into a family of wealth and position. From her earliest memories, she was given everything she has ever asked for. She left her family and friends behind to pursue her career in music. Because of that self control and ambition, she has made it here today. She is to be congratulated, she may possibly be our new champion.

As a special surprise, we have flown in a special guest to say a few words about her.

(Little old lady walks onto stage. Announcer hands her mike ahd helps her arrange height of mike stand. Little old lady stands dignified and starts to speak. As she beings to speak she becomes more and more agitated.)

Little Old Lady: I am here today to talk to you about my granddaughter Cecilia. She was
such a.......(her demeaner changes to frustration and anger)....oooohhhhhh spoiled child, ohhhhh, if I had her out here, I would put her over me knee,....

(Announcer walks over and tries to pull her off the stage, but Little Old Lady still wants to talk. He finally drags her of stage. She is kicking and screaming. Announcer walks back onto stage, slightly disheveled looking and arranging his necktie.)

Announcer: Let's give a shout and applaud for Cece.

(loud clapping is heard)

(Singer #1 walks onto stage. She grabs mike from announcer and sings part of a popular song. Upon finishing, she turns around and faces the judges.)

Judge #1 Well done; the best performance of the season.

Judge #2 That was exceptional, a vocal masterpiece.

Judge #3 You, young lady, are going to high places.

(a sound of clapping is heard as Singer #1 walks haughtily off the stage. The announcer walks back onto stage.)

Announcer: We will now take a short break and will return with our final performer.

(announcer leaves stage. Angels enter stage area. They are carrying placards that say "GO GRACIE!!!!!!!!!!!" They stand on left hand of stage and are talking among themselves.)

Angel #1 I love to go where Gracie goes. She never passes up an opportunity to
sing for Jesus.

Angel #2 I know that she can't see or hear us, but we are here just the same. If
she only knew how pleased the Father is with her.

Angel #3 I know, her life has touched so many people. Getting this title would
be nice you know, but she has a much better reward coming to her.
Eyes have not seen, you know, nor entered into the hearts of men the
things the Father has prepared for them that love Him.

(Judges come back onto stage. Announcer returns also and picks up mike)

Announcer Give a welcome to Gracie Love. Gracie comes from humble
(ummmmm) beginnings. She barely got out of high school with a
degree as she worked part-time to support her family while her father
was recuperating from a stroke. She has had absolutely no major
accomplishments to speak of and (ummmmm) there is nothing else
worth mentioning about her life. Gracie, ladies and gentlemen.

(Singer #1 walks onto stage and gently takes microphone from the announcer and sings "Amazing Grace". The 3 angels are standing on the side of the stage. They are waving the "GO GRACIE" signs. Singer finishes song and turns to face the judges. Angels are
standing behind judges at this point.)

Judge #1 That song was (clears throat) ummmmmm interesting. It was adequate.

Angel #1 What does he mean adequate? That was amazing.

Judge #2 Not the kind of song, young lady that we expected I felt it was the wrong
Kind of song for this competition.

(Angel #2 hits Judge #2 on head with placard)

Judge #3 Inappropriate is more the word for this song. I can't believe you had the
Nerve. (Judges talk amongst themselves, angels are listening in.) I think
We are all in agreement then, that the next new World Class champion is
Cecilia Leadbottom. Let's give her a hand.

(the sound of clapping is heard. Singer #1 enters stage area, knocking Singer #2 out of
the way. She is waving and blowing kisses to the audience. Announcer gives her flowers and helps her put on her tiara, a real beauty queen moment. Then announcer escorts her off the stage. Judges then get up from chairs and leave stage area. Judge #2 is rubbing his head as he leaves.)

Judge #2 Do you guys have any aspirin? All of a sudden, I have a headache.

(Singer #2 is left on stage alone. She is standing looking up at the ceiling. For a short moment she stands quietly as if in expectation. She is approached by a girl who is crying into a Kleenex.)

Girl: I hope you don't mind Gracie, but would you mind telling me more
About the song you just sang.

(Gracie puts her arm around her and they walk off together talking softly together. Angels look at Gracie as she leaves with proud looks.)

Angel #1 Look at her, she is her Father's daughter.

(Angels nod in agreement and leave stage area.)
