For Sale

Now I lay me
down to sleep
if I�m not cold
I won�t make a peep

If I have a blanket
to call my own
food in my stomach
and I can call on my phone

If I can see the sunrise
and hear the bird
I will praise you Lord
I won�t say a word...of complaining�

If I can feel the touch
Of my childrens hands
And though I tire
of daily demands

If I can have laundry to do
For clothes are plenty
Dishes to wash
And they�re seldom empty

A family to love
And love me back
Then There isn�t much
that I really lack�

Now I lay me
down to sleep
I pray for others
who often weep

For they have less
than I will ever know
God heal and bless
oh please bestow

All of your blessings
on everyone
I thank you Lord
for all you�ve done�

Now I lay me
down to sleep
I praise your name
For your promises you keep

For my complaining
I repent...
And ask Lord to help me
Be more content��..

i love this poem- both moving and comical! it reminded me i'm blessed, not just for the love in my life but the small things i take for granted. beautiful
