He Melted Away The Stubbornness

Yesterday I sat down to see the new rings I'd received in the mail, they were all different metals and colors, dull and shiny, with colors so pale.

There were some made of bright aluminum, some in niobium a very pastel blue, and some in matte gray titanium, all these materials to me were brand new.

I first tried out the titanium, so pretty in the softest gray, but oh, it was tough, the metal so hard, it took all my strength to make it move my way.

Then I picked up the blue niobium, the rings so very light and small, that I feared I would not be able to see them, and make anything at all.

Playing with these rings reminded me, of how different I am today, how I used to be so stiff and stubborn, like titanium, I wanted my own way.

Then Jesus came into my heart, and suddenly I just knew that He was the only one to fill my heart with His love so true.

He melted away the stubbornness, and made me completely new, and I became smaller, and He was larger, and I listened to Him to know just what to do.

Now I was more like the niobium, glowing with Jesus' color from within, and now I willingly bent to His will, knowing His love would never dim.

Once I did this, He blessed me so much, He began to make my dreams come true, and into my life He brought new love, I found that when I first met you!

Now we are linked like rings in a chain, together with no beginning and no end, and side by side we follow Jesus' lead to His will we will always bend.

My life is a joy, my happiness complete, and each day begins so shiny and new, a whole new collection of minutes and hours, to fill up showing how much I LOVE YOU!
