It seems the cold weather has come for an extended winter stay; I can feel the chill in the air each morning when I greet a new day.
But out in the yard, in the corner, a flower defies the season, standing tall with a pale lavender bloom, made me wonder, is it there for a reason?
Like a reminder in the midst of worries that God is still here for me, that nothing is so cold or so long to keep Him away, and He wanted me to see.
That flower blooming in the middle of winder gives me hope that spring will come, and that Jesus in me can overcome all, yes, follow Him, He's the only one!
Then I look around in my heart and see all the wishes in there that have come true all the love and wonder God's given to me, the sheer joy of loving you!
The touch of your hand spells "care" to me, your voice speaks sweet words of love, your arms wrap around me to keep me safe, you are my special gift from above.
It may be winter and so chilly outside, but inside my heart I know that it is always warm and full of beauty, your love fills me with a soft glow.
I thank God for reminding me, for sending the flower to show me that He is still here, and I bask in the warmth of the love that we share, for this gift that is always so near.
I'll start this day with joy and thanksgiving for all that I know is true, and rejoice that I have such a rich treasure, Happiness is mine because I love you!
