I stood on the edge, I could not jump it was too far to go, and I was afraid to take that leap, into a future I did not know.
I looked out there and tears filled my eyes, there was such beauty to see, but if I could not take that first step, that future would never come to be.
Then at my side, I felt a presence, Jesus took my hand and said "I'll not let you fall." and you will find that if you trust, that first step really is very small.
Then joy filled my heart, for I suddenly knew that all I need do was invite Him in, and He would keep me in His loving care, He's always be there, within.
So, looking at Jesus, focused on Him, together we took that first step into the air, and my life was instantly transformed, a new life began with that first whispered prayer.
Now the path that lay ahead was narrow, but straight as a string, and I ran forward with wings of joy to see what the future would bring.
Along the way were blessings like flowers, mine to pick, covered with heaven's dew, then in the distance I saw someone standing, - could this be my dream, coming true?
God had put the plan into motion and He allowed it to take just enough time, to learn about Him, to trust in His lead, only then would this special gift be mine.
As I drew closer, my heart leaped for joy, for in your eyes I saw love, and knew that you and I were to be one, a very special gift from God above.
Now every day my joy is doubled, the happiness is times two, for my dreams of love have all been fulfilled for you are mine, and I LOVE YOU!!
