The way we behave is governed by the way we think. The way we think is governed by our mindset. Our mindset is governed by the words that we have allowed ourselves to listen to - and the words that we have read.
In the Bible, God tells us “For as he thinks in his heart, so is he.” Proverbs 23:7
It is important that our way of thinking lines up with the Word of God. Everybody’s way of thinking comes from somewhere, and if that way of thinking does not come from The Word - then it comes from the ways of the world. (And the ways of the world are directly from Satan).
2 Corinthians 4:4 (New King James Version)
In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
Allow God to speak the Word into your heart BY READING THE BIBLE - because JESUS CHRIST died FOR US that our sins may be forgiven - and the only way that we can know the Truth is by accepting the Word. (John 1:1)
So - the only way we can behave the way God wants us to - is to change the way we think, the only way we can change the way we think is by changing our mindset, the only way we can change our mindset is by changing what we allow to enter our heart, and the ONLY way to do that is to accept the WORD.
