I recently read the book, "Prophet On Wheels" , the life story of Bill Britton. As I read this book about a man that was totally consumed with the purposes of God, i too becamse consumed. For a shade over five years now, I have been under the tutlege and mentorship of Apostle Roosevelt Gray, Jr. and Prophetess Henrine Gray. It was here, at Fairbanks Christian Center that I first learned of the doctrine of Sonship.
Admittedly, I was at first hesitant to receive this message and the connotations it carried. I was raised on rapture theories and escapism mentalities. Now, to hear the message of Sonship, no it could not be. How could I release the sacred cows of tradition? Then, a funny thing happened. I read and studied the scripture. I read books like "A Closer Look At The Rapture" and "Sons Of God Awake" by Bill Britton, "Sonship" by my Spiritual father Pasptr Gray and "Highway To The Annointing" by my Spiritual mother. The more I studied the Word, the more I became fascinated with the idea that there was more, much more, than what I had ever heard about the end time truths.
I do not want to embark on any debates about rapture theories and such. I do, however, wonder why there is so much resistance to the Sonship message? Is this not the whole object of Christ's life, death, burial, and resurrection...to allow us the teriffic privelege to truly be Christlike? Hebrews 2:10 speak of Christ bringing many sons unto glory. His bringing many sons unto glory speaks not of a rapturous journey through the skies. It speaks of His death allowing us the oppurtunity to partake of His Divine Nature; not in the sweet by and by, but here and now. As He is on this earth, so are we.
Please do not take this as to say that we are equal to God. This is not the message of Sonship. The message of Sonship is the message that we were truly created in His image, in His likeness. This is not just a catch phrase, but words that carry meaning. If we truly believe that we are created in His likeness and image, why are so many in the church afraid of Sonship?
Sonship does not put man on par with God absolutely not above Him. Sonship seeks to put man in his proper place; the place God longs for him to reach. Only the humble, only the meek will reach this place. As we read Romans chapter 8 (Amplified version brings it out even more beautifully) we can see that all of creatin earnestly awaits the revealing, the full manifestation and disclosure of our Sonship.
Why are we resisting?
I do not expect to win many rave reviews for this and I did not publish this expecting grammatical and structural correcness. This was burning in my spirit, so I had to release this fire from my bones.

I'm not familiar with the term "Sonship" or the full message it teaches.
However, if it advocates the children of God claiming the full rights that Jesus bought for them on the cross, I'm with you!
If it means a lukewarm, passive Body of Christ steps up and takes all the authority its entitled to according to the New Covenant, amen to that!
Is there anybody else whose looking for the Glory of God to manifest in their lives in a powerful way, besides me?
