Double negative equals positive
The master said and I believed
That simple lesson
He could prove it too, on a number line
White chalk over black board
Two wrongs dinna* make it right,
My granny** said and I believed
Another lesson
It was harder though and I lost some times
Hot rage over cold heart
Do unto others as they do to you.
The world’s misquote but I believed
Deceit filled lessons
With pride, full bloomed and sour revenge
Smooth talk over sharp tongue
Forgive them, Father for they have sinned,
The Master said and I believed.
I learned a lesson.
He could prove it too, on a wooden cross.
God’s grace over man’s sin.
