Had beautiful eyes with long vision
And a small beak to pick only the required
Was never a pet of others
But would hold all underneath her feathers
One day she learned how to fly
And went high up in the sky
To smile for a moment she tried
Behind the bars of cage then she cried
Thought she to herself for a while
After a sigh to tune into a smile
She knew He was watching her struggle
Holding lots of love and happiness ready to smuggle
Kneeling at His feet with li’l voice she prayed
Give me more patience and a heart for all to bear, she said
Only,
Joyce
