Have you ever listened to the words of a love song and thought that those words could easily be about Jesus? It seems that nearly every love can be applied to God- words like,'I can't get by without you-need you more each day-how do I live without you-more than words etc.
Perhaps it is simply that because God IS love, and therefore the source from which we draw it,that anything connected to the feeling of true love is all from God. In fact, we could sing,'Where there is love-He'll be there'.
I am surprised that there aren't any compilations of Christian songs which are variations of classic and well known love songs. The words only need vary a little. For instance, All for the Glory of Love, by Chicago( correct me if I'm wrong) could be varied to this for example:
He is the man who will fight for my honer,
Now I can win-all my sins are forgiven me-
Beautiful Saviour
Taking His life for me,
And He did it all for the glory of God
Just A little thought, going nowhere in particular!
I hope you all get inspiration, and creative moments throughout this year (and onwards), and that more will be achieved in what we write, to help win other's hearts, provoke thoughts and challenge closed minds, as we do it all for the Glory of God!
