Marriage
I look outside, the sun is bright, lying like a blanket on the ground; the cars go by, rushing to and fro, making their muffled traffic sound.
But if I look inside, into my heart, a cheerful fire glows, and it invites me to come and sit, and reflect on the truths that it knows.
I think of our love, it keeps me warm, wrapped around me all through the day, and thoughts of you fill my mind, of how I love you in every way.
I think of joy, for it also is mine, it makes me want to dance and sing, and every day it changes and grows, part of the wonder that you bring.
I think of laughter, like sparkling light, bits of stars sprinkled throughout each day, dispelling all sorrow, chasing away the blues, lifting our spirits along the way.
I think of peace, like a velvet cover, lying over everything we do, for God has chosen us for each other, and made a new 'one' out of us 'two'.
I think of wonder at the start of each day, that all these blessings are ever new, that God has given me the desire of my heart, and made all my dreams come true.
No matter what the weather is outside, in my heart it is summer ever more,
and all things good God has given to me, to share with my husband whom I adore!
