One million or two sent soaring His way?
A prayer for a dad a prayer for his wife
One more for their son filled with worry and strife
A prayer for those children with nowhere to turn
And one for that woman who watched her house burn
Some prayers for those facing an impossible choice
Some prayers saying thanks for just hearing my voice
How many prayers has God answered today?
Two million or three sent soaring our way?
A new baby girl born healthy and strong
Snuggled close to her dad cause it’s where she belongs
A happy young couple who’ve just learned to love
Their future together, such a gift from above
A beautiful song that inspires us all
The gift of each other to help when we fall
So many prayers our God heard today
