Gold is a precious metal. It remains the standard of values. Banks and nations speak of their “reserves” in gold.
A nation’s future plans usually depend on its gold reserves. If there are no “reserves” then that nation will be heading towards bankruptcy.
So it is with prayer! What gold is to the material life, prayer is to our spiritual life.
A Christian’s future depends on his reserves of prayer. Depleting reserves of prayer could lead us to spiritual bankruptcy. Remember that a prayerless church is a powerless church. Neglecting Bible study and prayer could also lead a Christian to spiritual bankruptcy.
Make it one of your goals this year to truly desire to grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ.
Begin the year with a prayerful heart and turn to God’s Word and experience great spiritual victories this year.
Continue to call on the good Lord and He will show you great and unsearchable things you do not know. Seek His face for wisdom and insight into every decision you make this year for He has good plans to prosper you in every area of your life.
So forget the former things and do not dwell on the past for your Heavenly Father is about to do new things in your life this year.
God bless!
