We all know the stories of Jesus healing those he met as he walked this earth. We remember the story of the woman that reached out and touched the hem of his garment. Jesus’ words to the woman were, “Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering.
How much faith did that woman have? She did not want to bother Jesus. She said, “If I just touch his clothes, I will be healed.” The woman had the desire to be healed but she also felt unworthy to seek an audience with Jesus.
On another occasion, Jesus had departed from the crowd and went away to pray. Simon and companions went searching for him. He wound up going through Galilee preaching and driving out demons. It was on this trip through Galilee that a leper came up to Jesus. Jesus was filled with compassion and reached out and touched the man.
There are many different circumstances in which we need healing. We need to seek God, as the woman sought Jesus. We need to have and exercise the faith that God will heal whatever he perceives as wrong in our lives, be it a physical illness, emotional illness, depression, a relational problem.
Now, faith is the ASSURANCE of things hoped for,
the CONVICTION of things not seen. Heb. 11:1
Forsaking-- giving over, surrendering, All-- each and everything In Trusting--relying, leaning, depending Him-- Jesus, the One who can do anything.
