The things that she said
the expressions on her face
showed that we might end up dead
she was getting out of this place
so as to save her
from the thoughts in her head !
It's not that I don't love you my dear
I had better just grab my clothes
time to move on get out of here
more than just drinking beer
things that we are doing no one knows !
She said that living here
was keeping her in foil
partying out of control
more than just drinking some beer
hard life coming to a boil !
She left me lonely and blue
wasn't very long
till I was back to the old things
that I said I would never do !
What's it take to kick this
get sober and move on
like being in some honky tonk bar
just another sad blues song !
Almost lost my job
into the evil side a slipping
pleasures of the devil
jumping in and dipping !
Turned to God
the Lord helped me to escape
changed my ways
now to have shared in
many blessed days !!
