I am the Rose of Sharon!
A lovely, wild anemone.
I was sent by God the Father...
I shall bloom and grow for thee.
I am the Rose of Sharon!
Arrayed in colors glad and gay.
I have come to give thee joy,
To brighten up thy darkest day.
I am the Rose of Sharon!
Among the flowers I'm most fair.
I have come to ease thy burden,
Cast on Me thy every care.
I am the Rose of Sharon!
Growing near the path you trod.
Look to Me, O weary pilgrim.
I shall lead thy feet to God!
I am the Rose of Sharon!
I'll be with thee till the end.
Lift thy head, O lonely outcast.
I shall be thy truest Friend!
I am the Rose of Sharon!
Growing freely in the wild.
A reminder of God's Presence
To the wayward, erring child.
I am the Rose of Sharon!
Growing 'midst the hurtful thorns.
I have come to comfort, heal thee.
All thy grief and pain I've borne.
I am the Rose of Sharon!
O so fragrant to thy breath!
I shall give thee life and sweetness
'Midst the stench of sin and death.
I am the Rose of Sharon!
Grown in heavenly gardens above.
Yet for a season was transplanted...
Showing forth thy Father's love!
Yes, I am the Rose of Sharon!
Flower of beauty, flower of grace.
All who seek Me, find the Father.
Look to Me... behold His face!
Who is this Rose of Sharon
With such promises and claims?
The Altogether Lovely Savior...
Jesus Christ is His dear Name!

Well Linda, you did it again. What a wonderful poem. I love its soft, soothing repetition, "I am the Rose of Sharon." Made me want to go out and look for a Rose of Sharon. However, we all can find THE ROSE OF SHARON, our lovely Saviour. Thanks for sharing. Don't ever quit writing.
