Celebration in Living
A New Year is born,
today we shed a tear,
in this world so torn,
keeping our love near.
Bowing heads we pray,
it brings us a new hope,
surviving another day,
with the tools to cope.
Thank the Lord above,
our blessing we behold,
with the need for love,
in a world ever so bold.
Another year is gone,
fading into the past,
remembered in a song,
for nothing ever last.
Yet we celebrate living,
for it is what we cherish,
as we all keep on giving,
in hopes we won’t perish.
