Another year has come and gone,
within the passage of ageless time,
in a flash it didn’t seem very long,
for time is an illusion of our mind.
Reflecting on what’s said and done,
memories fade into all the yesterdays,
the times both of sadness and of fun,
surviving whatever comes our way.
Upon the stroke of midnight it ends,
along with all the hopes of the year,
we celebrate with family and friends,
with new visions, we still shed a tear.
It seems that no matter how hard we try,
today and tomorrow turn into the past,
many questions without knowing why,
for nothing earthly was intended to last.
Wishing upon this New Year’s Day,
to those we love, those who we care,
Peace and Happiness comes their way,
and that each of us learn how to share.
