Sitting by the duck pond
been coming here for years
place to be when I am full of joy
place to shed some tears.
Little ducks are happy to see me
no matter what I've said or done
it seems all they care about
is being fed and having fun.
There is something very tranquil here
letting the thoughts of my mind
slip by
precious moments given by God
the only one Most High.
They seem to take me with them at times
to a place so far away
where I can relax and enjoy
God's will and what he has to say.
Do not fret the things of this world
he tells me that I am only passing through
give trust faith and receive salvation
a free gift for me and you.
