Dear Pastor
I wont be coming to church today
cause I’m feeling mighty low.
I’ve got arthritis in my knees
that just wont let me go.
I pulled a muscle in my back
and I didn’t sleep very much .
So with everything going wrong
what’s the use of going to church?
I guess you heard the news by now
that my great aunt is dead.
And this high blood pressure
keeps a spinning in my head.
I sure do miss coming to church
for the Word I really do need.
But my body is slowing me down
and the warnings I must heed..
I have missed several Sundays now
and Satan is busy as you can see.
It seems that night and day
he is constantly working on me.
So I need all the prayers I can get
before I see the doctor on Monday.
And if I am not too near dead
I’ll come to church next Sunday.
