I work in a store where we feature, along with feed and seed and Moore's World Famous Hot Dogs!, Virginia Diner items. Nut products, for those of you who may not know that. Every year, near Christmastime, the Mennonite ladies down the road deliver a case full of homemade fruitcakes. Few can afford them--this year we're selling them for $29.95!--but they are absolutely wonderful.
One of my bosses has taken up a little holiday silliness of late. We have a large sign in front of the store and he likes to change the message frequently.
This is what he put up last Thursday:
Nuts and Fruitcakes inside,
and we also have VA. Diner too!
Needless to say, since the sign went up, we have been besieged with people wanting to know which of us are the nuts and which are the fruitcakes!
I love it! Isn't life fun?

this was cute.
I've seen signs like that, I saw one once on a gas station that had a sandwich place inside. The sign said "Eat and get gas". Cracked my brother up.
speaking of "crack" I like the one about "Mexican pot"...lol.
good stuff!
LOL! You know Beth, I love it! It is really good to laugh and have fun! Thanks for posting this today, gives me a smile to take to work!! Love ya sis, Jounda
By the way, just another bit of silliness to go along with this piece, back in the summer, when plant sales were rolling along, he put up on the sign--'Mexican Pot Sale!' and you can just imagine the reactions we got from that one! Life can be so joyful! Beth
