Tear on her cheek

You were in
My dream last night.
You came to me
And you were crying.
I had a feeling
I knew what was wrong.
I wanted to comfort you
So I held you close
And whispered in your ear
"It will be all right".
You broke away from my arms
And took a step back.
You looked at me...
And a tear fell to your cheek
As you shook your head
And looked away.

Then it was over...
I woke up soon after.
I thought to myself
"What have I done?".
But I keep hold of the truth-
I have done nothing wrong.
I won't let this dream
Take me back to you.
We have both changed
And so has our friendship.
So I just tell myself
It will be all right.

If you died today, are you absolutely certain that you would go to heaven? You can be! TRUST JESUS NOW

You have captured and expressed the emotion so well! "Stayed upon Jehovah, hearts are fully blessed, finding as He promised, perfect peace and rest."
Jay Cookingham 30 Jul 2003
I agree with Deb, a very moving poem, the seasons of freindship are that way. - Jay Cookingham

Whitney, this is my first chance to actually pop back and rate this poem. I found it so very moving. With love, Deb
