Can you imagine?

Can you imagine
One silent night
The stars in the heavens
Shining so bright
A heavenly drama
About to unfold
God’s plan of salvation
Fearless and bold

Can you imagine
An angelic choir
Singing to shepherds
Hunched round a fire
“A child is born”
Is the anthem they sing
Proclaiming the birth
Of the Saviour and King

Can you imagine
Wise men from afar
Drawn to a stable
By a brilliant star
Laying down treasures
With hearts full of praise
Unable to fathom
God’s wondrous ways

Can you imagine
Impossible love
The High King of heaven
Descends from above
Wrapped up in promises
God became man
His plan of Salvation
That moment began
