Along life's dusty road I go,
Seeking, searching all alone;
What does it mean? I do not know,
My blood is dry, my heart is stone;
It's meaningless, it's all in vain,
I look up to the blackened skies;
My soul cries out in fear and pain,
Oh, what beyond this darkness lies?
Slowly as I trudge along,
Wearily across the land;
I ask myself, Oh, what is wrong?
My God, I do not understand.
I gaze upon a glittering star,
And cry out to the silent night;
And still I wonder were You are,
Oh, tell me please, where is the Light?
And then my Lord revealed His hand,
Such peace and joy are in my heart;
No longer all alone I stand,
As on life's journey I now start;
Abba Father, I can pray,
Help me, God, to do what's right,
Let me in Your Kingdom stay,
In Jesus I have found the Light!
