"I sought the Lord and he answered me, he delivered me from all my fears."
Psalm 34:4
"Though an army besiege me, my heart will not fear; though war break out against me, even then I will be confident."
"The Lord is my strength and my sheild, my heart trusts in him, I am helped."
Psalm 28:7
And there are many more psalms on this topic! When the psalmist was speaking of the Lord helping him he was not just talking about those times when the Lord already helped him but he also believed that the Lord would help him in the future.
God spoke this to my heart today, and this will make sense to people who have children, but even if you don't have children(I don't either), it should make sense.
When you as a parent find out that someone is messing with your child, you naturally get angry. You go and "take care of the situation" if you know what I mean. Hopefully you do so in a fair way, but you do SOMETHING. God is our Father, or "Abba" who loves us much more than any human parent. When the devil messes with us He DOES something. And when it comes to God dealing with the devil, HE DOES NOT PLAY FAIR. Its not a fair fight anyway. The devil already lost.
I am not sure WHAT God does to the devil when he "deals with him" but I know that He is a God of judgement and He rescues those who trust in Him. He hears the cries of His children. We are His beloved and He will defend us.
When you are feeling under the attack of the devils schemes, call on Jesus name. Keep repeating it if you have to. The enemy is afraid of that name. There is POWER in that name! The devil knows this. He hears the name of Jesus and he flees. The next time the enemy messes with your mind, health, finances, whatever, cry out to God! He rescues those who trust in Him.
If you died today, are you absolutely certain that you would go to heaven? You can be! TRUST JESUS NOW

Jamie,
Great job! You have brought out some fine points of truth here. There is power in the name of Jesus! And it would seem as tho most people fail to realize just HOW much power that they have been given, when they carry that wonderful name!!

Amen! I like this piece. I found it very encouraging.
The only thing I would say is to separate it a little for easy reading.
Other than that, it was very good! :-)
